Mrs. Minnie C. Stork, 82, widow of the late Dr. J.H. Stork died at her apartment Monday morning, December 27. Mrs. Wilhelmine Charlotte Stork, was one of seven children born to Herman K. and Katherne Suhrkamp Patbert of near Holland, February 14, 1861.
On December 24, 1882 she was married to Dr. John H. Stork and they became the parents of six children. Two of whom, Lisetta and Gladys, preceded the praents in death. Dr. Stork died March 12, 1926. Dr. and Mrs. Stork spent most of their married life in Stendal, moving to Huntingburg in 1920, when the doctor retired from active pratice. Mrs. Stork is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. Chris Egbert, Dr. H.K. Stork and Mrs. Al Landgrebe of this city and Mrs. Arthur Martin of Petersburg and a brother, Herman Pathberg of Evansville.. The funeral service was held on Wednesday afternoon, December 29. Interment in Fairmount Cemetery.

Widow Of Dr. John H. Stork Succumbs


Mrs. Wilhelmine C. Stork, widow of the late Dr. John H. Stork of Huntingburg, died in her home in that city at 10:45 A.M. Monday as the result of a stroke suffered the preceding Friday. She was 82 years old.

Mrs. Stork, the second youngest of seven children born to Herman and Katherine Patberg, was born near Holland, Ind., on February 14, 1861. She was baptized on April 1, 1861 by the Rev. Schiller, pastor of St. Paul’s church near Holland and was later confirmed in the same church.

She was united in marriage with Dr. John H. Stork on December 24, 1882. The union was blessed with six children, two of which preceded the mother in death, Lisette and Gladys.

Dr. and Mrs. Stork lived in Stendal the greater part of their married life. They moved to Huntingburg in 1920, where Dr. Stork passed away on March 12, 1926.

She had been a very faithful member of the Salem Evangelical and Reformed church since June 12, 1921.

She is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. Arthur Martin of Petersburg, Mrs. Chris Egbert, Dr. H.K. Stork and Mrs. Al Landgrebe all of Huntingburg; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The funeral service was held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock conducted by her pastor, the Rev. Theo. F. Schumacher. Interment was in Fairmount cemetery.
