Death Claims the Widow of Dr. H.K. Stork
Mrs. Emma Heller Stork, 85, died unexpectedly at 6:45 p.M. Monday at her home at 523 First St., Huntingburg. Death was apparently due to a heart attack. Mrs. Stork had worn a Pacemaker since last fall.

She was the widow of Dr. Harvey K. Stork who died last May 1 at the age of 84. He started the Stork Hospital, the first hospital in Dubois County. After building several additions to it he presented the hospital to the Sisters of St. Benedict at Ferdinand and it became known as Stork Memorial Hospital. It is now the Huntingburg Medco Center. Dr. Stork also financed the construction of more than 100 homes in his community.

Mrs. Stork was born at Huntingburg on Aug. 24, 1891, to Ernest and Mary (Wolfe) Heller. She was married to Dr. Stork on May 3, 1923.

She was a life member of Salem United Church of Christ and was a charter member of the Dubois County Medical Society Auxiliary.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Victor Urich of Huntingburg, and a nephew, William Kemp of Huntingburg.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis and John Heller, and a sister, Mrs. William (Sophia) Kemp.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home where the services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Kenneth Scherry officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
