HOLLAND, Ind.-- Gordon Werremeyer, 56, of Oviedo, Fla., died Sunday in Oviedo of natural causes.
He was formerly band director at Oakland City, Covington and Bloomfield. He was an administrator for 15 years at high schools in Bloomfield, South Whitley and Eminence.
He was a graduate of the University of Evansville and Indiana State University.
He was a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the Indiana School Principals Association and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
He was formerly a member of the Indiana Music Educators Association and the National Association of Music Educators.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Werremeyer of Holland; and a friend who helped care for him, Gary Hyslop of Oviedo.
Memorial services in Holland are pending.
Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Orlando, Fla., is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

GORDON WERREMEYER 56, Neely Street, Oviedo, died Sunday, Sept. 21. Mr. Werremeyer was a retired high school principal. Born in Holland, Ind., he moved to Central Florida in 1996. He was Methodist. He was a member of National Association of Secondary School Principals, Indiana School Principals Association and Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
