HOLLAND - Norena (Hesson) Werremeyer, 92, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at the Waters of Huntingburg.

She had been a housekeeper and retail clerk and was a member of Holland United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Roy; sisters, Doris Reutepohler and Melba Hartke; and brother, Bob Miller.

Services 10 a.m. Saturday at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, burial in Holland Methodist Cemetery. Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. today at Nass & Son Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Leukemia Association.

Norena Werremeyer, 92, Holland
Norena Werremeyer, 92 Holland died at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at The Waters of Huntingburg, Huntingburg.

She was born in Warrick County Nov. 1, 1914, to Claude and Alvina (Hachmeister) Hesson. She married Roy W. Werremeyer Aug. 2, 1937 at Covington.

Surviving are her husbnad, Roy W. Werremeyer; a brother, Bob Miller, Huntingburg; two sisters, Doris Reutepohler and Melba Hartka, Huntingburg; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gordon Werremeyer; two brothers, Russell and Raymond Hesson; and a sister, Leona Weaver.

Mrs. Werremeyer worked as a clerk in various retail stores and as a housekeeper. She was a member of Holland United Methodist Churh, was a volunteer with the former St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary and was an avid rose gardener.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Nass and Son Funreal Home, Huntingburg. The Rev. Roy Carpenter will officiate. Burial will be in Holland Methodist Cemetery, Holland.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dubois County Leukemia Association or Holland United Methodist Church.
