Florence Beumer, 89, Alabama
Florence Beumer, 89, Dothan, Ala., formerly of Huntingburg, died Wednesday morning, March 8, 2006, at her home. She was born at Bretzville to John and Louise (Steinaker) Elshoff. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert William Beumer. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Don (Lisa Beumer ) Warr, Dothan; a son, P. Scott Beumer, Wicksburg, Ala.; a sister, Freda Trumpey, Elberfeld; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Elshoff. Mrs. Beumer retired as a reJ ceptionist at the chiropractic office of Dr. L.E. Arnold and had been employed at Ansell Inc. She was a member of Grimes United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Lucy Hathaway Cornerstone Prayer Group, Order of Eastern Star 508 in Midland City, Ala., and participated at Multi-Community Senior Citizens Center in Midland City The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel, Headland, Ala. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory. Friends may call from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Grimes United Methodist Church, 404 Par-ramore Road, Dothan AL 36303.

Elshoff-Beumer Nuptials At Holland
HOLLAND – A wedding was held at St. Paul’s Evangelical church Saturday night at seven o’clock. Florence Elsoff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Elsoff, was united in marriage by Rev. Schnuck to Herbert Beumer, son of Frank Beumer, Sr.
The church was decorated with white gladioli and palms.
The couple’s attendants were Miss Mildred Wibbler and Delbert Beumer, brother of the groom.
Pre-nuptial music was played by Miss Irene Bartlet. During the ceremony “Stardust” was played on the organ. Paul Hanebutt sang “O Promise Me”, “Till The End of Time” and “The Lord’s Prayer”.
The bride was dressed in a brown fitted dress and carried a single orchid with roses.
The maid of honor wore a grey fitted dress and carried gladioli.
The bride was employed at the Huntingburg Greenhouse.
A reception was held after the ceremony at the home of the bride’s brother, Ray Elsoff, and family.
The couple will reside in Alabama, where the groom is employed.
