Morgan Dallas Fink
Morgan Dallas Fink, old and well known resident of Bremen, died at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon from the effects of a stroke of paralysis he suffered some two weeks before. The funeral was held at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon at the family residence, Maple and Jackson streets, conducted by Rev. A.J. Radley of the Congregational church, followed by interment in the Bremen cemetery.
Deceased was born in Mahoning county, O., Oct. 14, 1844, his age being 72 years, eight months and ten days. He came from Ohio to St. Joseph county, Ind. with his parents in 1855, and two years later to Marshall county. Nov. 9, 1865, he was united in marriage with Margaret Vollnagle of Bremen, also a native of Mahoning county, O. Three children were born to them, Mrs. Lee Western, Mrs. D.C. Earnest and a son, Clayton, who died in infancy. In the spring of 1882 Mr. Fink came to Bremen and in company with Frank M. Nufer operated a meat market for many years. In addition to the widow, two daughters, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, Mr. Fink is survived by one brother - G.W. Fink of Wellington, Kansas, three sisters - Mrs. J.W. Webster of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Ellen Huff of Argos, and Mrs. Michael Wahl of Bremen.
