Mrs. Julia Weinrich, Elderly Resident of Arlington Hts. Dies
Mrs. Julia Weinrich, wife of Henry Weinrich of Arlington Heights, died at nine o’clock this morning at the age of eighty-five years. She was sitting in a chair after breakfast at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Krueger, 123 South Dunton street, when she suddenly passed away. She had been ailing about a year.
The couple had been married 67 years.
As we go to press, arrangements for the funeral have not been made, and a fuller article will appear in Friday’s edition.

The Daily Herald (Chicago, Illinois) 17 May 1929
Mrs. Henry Weinrich

Mrs. Henry Weinrich, nee Thusius, was born Aug. 22, 1844, in Eisenburg, Saxony, Germany. She received her primary education in Germany and migrated to America at the age of 16 years.
After her marriage to the present bereaved husband in December, 1862, the couple moved to Arlington Heights in 1865. The family has grown up with the village, and has thus been linked up with the various changes and developments of this village and vicinity since the time of the Civil war.
She reared a family of 15 children, of which six have passed on, and nine are living.
She was a woman of splendid Christian character marked by meekness, kindliness, motherliness, splendid Christian virtues, sincerity and loyalty of her faith. She was willing to sacrifice herself for the physical and spiritual welfare of her children, bringing them up in the Christian manner. She was an outstanding Christian character. For many years, her health has been poor and she bore her illness with characteristic patience and prayer for her deliverance.
She passed away Tuesday morning, May 14, at nine o’clock, suddenly, without a struggle. The funeral is today (Friday) at 1:30 o’clock at the home, and 2 o’clock at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran church, both Rev. C.M. Noack and Rev. R.C. Fricke officiating.
Children living in Arlington Heights are Mrs. Wm. Hinrichs, Mrs. Henrietta Geffert, Mrs. Wm. Guenther, Ernst Weinrich, Arthur Weinrich, and Mrs. John Krueger, with whom she made her home. Other children are Rudolph Weinrich of Reeds City, Mich.; Eberhart Weinrich of Maywood; and Rev. Oscar Weinrich pastor of the Churchville Lutheran church. There are 35 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Family connections are many in Arlington Heights and surrounding towns.
