H’burg Veteran Of World War I Taken By Death
Benjamin Tormohlen, 64, of Huntingbrug, a veteran of World War I, died in the hospital at Fr. Benjamin Harrison near Indianapolis at 5:50 this morning. He was stricken last Sunday with a heart attack.
Mr. Tormohlen was a native of the Holland community and had lived in Huntingburg for the past 16 years. Before retiring from active work he was engaged as a truck driver for the Ellsworth Ice Cream Company.
Surviving are a brother, Harry, of Huntingburg; and two sisters, Mrs. George Schmeltekop of Huntingbrug and Mrs. George Linhart of Holland.
The remains are at the Finke and Nass Funeral Home in Huntingbutg. The services are scheduled to be held Saturday, Armistice Day, but the time of the services has not been set. Rev. H.W. Schrodeder of St. James Lutheran Church in Holland will conduct the services, and members of the Huntingburg American Legion post will conduct the military funeral ritual at the grave.
