Obituary notes for Beauford Wallace FINK
The Sikeston Herald (Sikeston, MO) 27 February 1941, p. 4
Rites Held Saturday for Mrs. Duncan’s Father
Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church at Bloomfield Saturday afternoon for Buford [sic] W. Fink, 76-year-old father of Mrs. Marion Duncan of Sikeston, who died at his home there on the morning of February 20.
Services were conducted at the Methodist church at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon by Rev. R. L. Allen of Bloomfield. Members of the Masonic Lodge conducted the rites at the cemetery at Bloomfield.
Mr. Fink has been an invalid for six years, suffering with hardening of the arteries. His death, however, was due to pneumonia which developed a short while before his death.
For more than fifty years Mr. Fink and his family had been residents of Bloomfield. During his residence in Cape girardeau, before moving to Bloomfield, Mr. Fink assisted in establishing the Christ Episcopal church there.
Beside Mrs. Duncan three other daughters, Miss Chloe Fink of Rock Hill, S.C., Mrs. Polly Scott of Bloomfield and Mrs. H.V. Ashley of Cape Girardeau survive. One son, Lieut. Commander B.W. Fink, Jr. of the United States Navy, stationed at Seattle, Washington, also survives.
Among those from Sikeston who attended the last rites were Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Bailey, Mrs. R.E. Bailey, Jr., and Mesdames T.R. Dudley, L.E. Allard, Margaret Harper, Georgie Donnell and Miss Florence Baker.
