Gertrude Hackwith

Gertrude E. Hackwith, 60, of 4526 W. Quinault Ave., Kennewick, died Monday at Kadlec Methodist Hospital.
She was born July 21, 1907, in Chicago, and lived in this area since 1943. She married Herman Hackwith, Jun 24, 1929, in Rantoul, Illinois.
She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Lucky Chapter 150, Rantoul, and was a charter member of West Highlands Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Lawrence, Garden Grove, Calif.; and Robert, Pasco; daughter, Nancy Maxson, Judy Johnson and Mary Jane, all Kennewick; 13 grandchildren; and brothers, Delbert Drinkwalter, Paxton, Ill., and Kenneth Drinkwalter, Rantoul.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mueller’s Funeral Home with Rev. C.K. Echelbarger officiating. Burial will be in River View Heights Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the West Highlands Methodist Church building fund. Alma Chapter 10 will be in charge of graveside services.
