Frank J. Sauer Dies at Washoe

Frank J. Sauer, lifelong resident of Nevada, died Tuesday night at his ranch home in Washoe valley. He had been critically ill for several days.

He was born 69 years ago in that valley, where his parents were pioneer settlers. He attended school at Washoe, and then came to Reno to complete his studies. Returning to Washoe valley, he engaged in farming until his death.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Viola Sauer of Washoe valley; a son and two daughters, Leo Sauer of Pleasant valley, Miss Ruth Sauer of Washoe valley and Mrs. Esther Ames of Reno; three brothers and two sister, George Sauer of Reno, William Sauer of Franktown, Louis Sauer of Washoe valley, Mrs. L. Zurfluh and Mrs. Preston B. Smith of Reno. He was the brother of the late Mrs. Kate Heidenreich and the late Mrs. Mary Kornmayer.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Saturday at the Ross-Burke chapel under the direction of Reno lodge No. 597 of Elks, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Mountain View cemetery.
