Leary-Sauer
Miss Gertrude Sauer well known Nevada girl arrived Thursday evening from New York where she has been living for several years and last evening her marriage to Mr. Francis M. Leary took place at a beautiful home wedding performed at seven o’clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Lohse by the Rev. William Moll Case. The wedding party stood before the fireplace in the living room, that was banked with white chrysanthemums and ferns and lighted with tall white candles. The attractive bride wore a mulberry wool suit with beaver fur jacket and mulberry accessories. Her flowers were orchids. She was attended by her two sisters, Mrs. George Lohse as matron of honor and Miss Myra Sauer as maid of honor. Mrs. Lohse wore a pleated ensemble of navy blue and Miss Sauer wore moss green. Both had corsage bouquets of gardenias. Mrs. W. F. Sauer, mother of the bride, chose to wear for her daughter’s wedding a rose crepe gown with a corsage of gardenias. Following the wedding ceremony a buffet supper was served to the relatives and close friends, who attended the wedding. The refreshment table was decorated with white flowers and candles and a wedding cake which the bride cut in the traditional manner. Mrs. Leary comes of a well known Nevada family, her parents, being Mr. and Mrs. William F. Sauer. She attended the University of Nevada and then went to New York to attend Columbia university of which she is a graduate. For sometime she has been connected with the Presbyterian hospital in New York City. Mr. Leary, who is the son of Mrs. T.J. Healy of Veallejo is connected with the Sandard oil Company in Berkeley where they will reside.
