Bonsteel-Fetzer
An elaborate setting of Woodwardia palms and ferns, with seven seven-branched candelabra Reid with clusters of white chrysanthemums, decorated Plymouth Church Saturday evening for the wedding of Miss Lillian Fetzer of 2900 Courtland Boulevard, Shaker Heights, to Mr. Lloyd Oliver Bonsteel, son of Dr. E.O. Bonsteel. The bridal party walked down an aisle of lighted candles to the altar where the Rev. Dr. Miles H. Krumgine read the service at 8:30 o’clock.
Miss Fetzer was gowned in Viennese lace with a soft cowl neckline, long sleeves, full above the elbow, and a satin cord sash. A court train of bridal illusion was caught to a braided satin halo which encircled her hair. She carried a shower of Ophelia roses, lilies-of-the-valley and swansonia.
Mrs. Roy Busey, matron of honor was in gold slipper satin with wing puff sleeves and a cord trimming over the shoulders. The other attendants were in various shades of autumn colors: Miss Helen Wilhelmy in peacock green; Miss Beulah McCashen in peach glow; Mrs. Lynn Wetzell in rose rust and Mrs. J. D. Horsfall in raisin rust. All carried loop bouquets of arrangements of Talisman roses, peach Garcia ‘mums and mahogany pom poms. Billy Bonsteel was ring bearer and Susan Mix, flower girl. Mr. Howard Baus was best man and ushers were Messrs. Howard Agnew, Charles Potter, J.D. Horsfall and J. Carroll Wolfe.
A reception for 175 guests followed at the bride’s home, after which the couple left to motor to White Sulphur Springs.
The bride is a graduate of National Park Seminary and Western Reserve University. Mr. Bonsteel is an alumnus of Ohio State University and Cleveland Law School. He is a member of Delta Theta Phi.
