Tomamichel Funeral Will Be Held Today
Reno Man Dies From Wounds Inflicted by Discharge of Revolver
The funeral of George Tomamichel, aged 40, who died Tuesday night from the discharge of a pistol in his side at his home on Washington street, will be held this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the chapel of the Ross-Burke company, with the Rev. Edward Tanner Brown officiating, and interment will be in Hillside cemetery.
The wound was in his left side, and an operation in the hope of saving his life was performed at a local hospital. Apparently Mr. Tomamichel was preparing to retire and a theory of his death is that he was inspecting the weapon at the time of its accidental discharge. He had been in poor health for some time.
He was a native of Nevada, having been engaged in the bottling business here for many years. Among those surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tomamichel; brothers Theodore of Reno and Thomas of Imlay, and sisters, Mrs. Edna Van Tassel and Mrs. Kester of Reno and Mrs. Louise Givens of Salt Lake City.
The mother, Mrs. Louise Tomamichel, is reportedly as seriously ill at her some.
