Reno Resident Hangs Himself
Belt Used As Noose With Which Man Ends Life
Fastening a belt to the head of his bedstead and looping the other end about his neck, Theodore Tomamichel, 42, took his life sometime yesterday afternoon at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tomamichel, 439 Washington street.
The body, stretched out in bed, was found at 5:50 o’clock by Mrs. E. Givan, a sister, who went to call him for dinner. The coroner and police who investigated said death evidently had been caused by strangulation.
Relatives attributed the motive to a combination of despondency over lack of work, brooding over marital difficulties of some time past, and ill health.
Tomamichel was widely known in Reno having been employed at Becker’s cafe for several years, and prior to its recent sale managed the William Tell House on Sierra street, formerly owned by his father.
The dead man is survived by his parents, several sisters and brothers, and four children, Willa Jack, Ted and Bobbie. He was divorced by Mrs. Tomamichel a year ago.
