Harold Lyke
Beaver – A service was held Thursday for Harold Frederick Lyke, 74, formerly of Richland, who died Saturday, April 16, 1983.
Mr. Lyke was president of the Pittsburgh Memorial Society and in charge of visitor information for Pittsburgh History and Landmark Foundation.
He was the first chairman of the Richland Township School Authority.
He had worked for United Engineering and Foundry, and U.S. Steel. He was active in the Committee for a Sane Nuclear Policy and the Allegheny County Tourist Advisory Committee.
He was born in Cleveland and lived for several years in New England. After moving to this area, his family was became known for its beautiful daffodil gardens.
He is survived by his second wife, Elizabeth Young Lyke; two sons, Edward Bonsteel and Robert Frederick; and two step-daughters, Janet R.Y. Doohan and Miriam Young. There were four grandchildren, eight ste-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

Lyke-Bonsteel
Dr. Edward L. Bonsteel announces the marriage of his daughter, Marion, to Mr. Harold F. Lyke on Monday, Aug 20,, at 8:30 p.m. at his home 3494 Cedarbrook Road. Cleveland Heights. The bride was attended by Miss Catherine Burchard and Mr. William Gailey, Jr. was best man. Mr. and Mrs. Luke are taking a month’s motor trip through Mexico.
