Leona B. Cannon
GANSEVOORT — Leona B. Cannon, 92, was reunited with her beloved husband, Elwood Cannon, passing on Nov. 27, 2010. She gave life and love to her four children. Leona was the foundation of the family strength. Her nurturing and unconditional love to her family will be eternal.
Born on July 30, 1918, in Bethlehem, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Switt and Amelia Bradt.
Leona was a longtime resident of Rochester and will return to be reunited with her husband. She was a loving homemaker, who enjoyed tending to her rose gardens.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Elwood Cannon.
Leona is survived by her son, Gordon Cannon of Albany; her daughters: Gail Favata of Hudson Falls, Judy Randall of Gansevoort and Beverly Brugno of Va.; her seven grandchildren: Cammie Potter, Lisa Fisher, Jason Randall, Adam Randall, Joe Brugno, Michael Brugno and Cara Cannon; several great-grandchildren; and her special nieces: Norma, Barbara and Maryann.
Services will be conducted at noon on Wednesday at White Haven Memorial Park Chapel, 210 Marsh Road in Pittsford, N.Y.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450.
Local arrangements are with the Carleton Funeral Home Inc., 68 Main St., in Hudson Falls.
