Deaths: Frank S. Weidner
Frank S. Weidner, 79, of 209 Plummer street, died at 10 p.m. yesterday at the Anderson sanitarium after an illness of six months.
He was born March 22, 1883 in LaPorte to Frank and Rose Weidner and had lived in LaPorte all his life.
Mr. Weidner had retired as a city employe after 33 years of service. He was married June 23, 1911 to Florence Johnstone in LaPorte. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic church.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Richard, LaPorte; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Bachman, Blue Island, Ill., and Mrs. Marie Fanselow, LaPorte; 11 grandchildren, and one brother, Otto Weidner, Michigan City. One son, six sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic church with the Rev. Albert Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Patton cemetery.
Friends may call at the Haverstock Funeral home from tonight until time of services. The rosary will be recited tomorrow night at 8 at the chapel.
