Florence C. Bachmann
Florence C. Bachmann (nee Weidner), a 58-year resident of Blue Island, formerly more than 20 years in LaPorte, Ind., died Monday, April 13, at hom.
A service will be at 2 p.m. today at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Blue Island, with the Rev. Raymond Wiebold officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Gardens South.
The former Florence Weidner was born Oct. 11, 1913, in LaPorte, Ind.
She retired in 1994 as a clerk at First National Bank of Blue Island; and was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Blue Island and the Ladies Aid.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Derwinski of Flossmoor; a son, Thomas (Karin) of Naperville; and nine grandchildren.
Her husband, Herbert, died June 15, 1981.
Memorials may be made to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Blue Island.
Arrangements are being handled by Krueger Funeral home, Blue Island.
