Marie Miller

Mrs. Marie M. (Fanselow) Miller, 68, of 1415 Spruce St., LaPorte, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 1989, at 1 a.m. at LaPorte Hospital, following a long illness.
She was born April 8, 1920, in LaPorte, to Frank and Florence (Johnstone) Weidner, and lived here all her life. Mrs. Miller was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Rosary Society; VFW Auxiliary; American Legion Auxiliary; LaPorte Eagles Auxiliary; Democratic Women's Club and had retired in 1970 from A & P Grocery.
On July 9, 1942, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, she married Robert Fanselow, who died July 15, 1978.
On Nov. 12, 1983, in LaPorte, she married Everett Miller, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Susan Drubert, of Westville, and Kathryn Brinson, of Muncie, Ind.; one son, James, of LaPorte; one stepdaughter, Marcia Pliske, of Michigan City; nine grandchildren; One great-grandson, and one sister, Florence Bachmann, of Alsip, Ill. Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death.
The funeral will be Wednesday at noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Ralph Hoffmann officiating. Friends may call at the Essling Funeral Home Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m., where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., and Wednesday from 7 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to LaPorte County Cancer Association or to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
