Mother of Six Taken Suddenly
Mrs. Mathilda Weinrich, wife of Mr. A.F. Weinrich, died Wednesday afternoon in a Chicago hospital. She was taken ill with appendicitis Sunday and rushed to the hospital. The operation was performed Monday, but pneumonia set in and lack of strength to fight the disease, caused her death. The funeral will be held Saturday at 1:30 at the residence; from there to the Lutheran church.

Family Circle Is Broken
Mathilde Schulenburg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schulenburg, was born in Mitchell, Iowa, May 25, 1883. When a small child, she came with her parents to Arlington Heights, which has been her home since then. She attended the St. Peter’s parochial school and was confirmed March 19, 1896 by Rev. Roeder.
She married Mr. Arthur W. Weinrich, May 24, 1905. five boys and one daughter blessed this union. During the past three years, she underwent three severe operations which undermined her health. Sunday evening, March 2 the family were in church. Later that evening, Mrs. Weinrich was taken ill. A physician was called who ordered her rushed to a Chicago hospital. She was operated on Sunday afternoon. Pneumonia set in and not possessing sufficient strength to combat its attack and the shock of the operation, she passed away Wednesday afternoon at 3:30.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, March 2, at St. Peter’s church, Rev. Noack officiating. Interment was in the St. Peter’s cemetery.
There remain to mourn their loss, a bereaved husband, six children, a brother, Rev. E.H. Schulenburg, Lindewood, Ill., five sisters, Mrs. H.W. Friese, Margaret Schulenburg, of Arlington Heights; Mrs. A.F. Wienecke, Loganville, Wis.; Mrs. G.W. Sammetinger, Wapakoneta, O.; Mrs. Emil Behmke, Chicago.
