Miss Sauer Weds At Rite

Mr. and Mrs. William F. Sauer announced today the marriage of their charming daughter, Miss Myra Sauer, and Mr. Vlad Ratay, which took place Monday, December 22, at the Unitarian Church in Seattle, Wash. The weddinig [sic] was attended only by members of the wedding party, who, following the ceremony, attended a wedding luncheon at the Hotel Meany in Seattle.

The attractive bride wore for her wedding a suit of seafoam green with matching feather hat and other accessories of brown. Her flowers were gardenias. Her only attendant was Miss Virginia De Tar of Seattle, who wore moss green, accented with gardenias. Mr. Sauer, father of the bride, stood with the bridegroom as best man. Mrs. Sauer wore for her daughter’s wedding a teal blue frock with matching accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds.

The altar of the church was decorated with pionsettas [sic] and red candles.

Mrs. Ratay is a graduate of the Reno schools and University of Nevada, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She engaged in social service work in Nevada, after which she was head of the state child welfare work in New Mexico. For the past six months, she has been attending the University of Washington as a graduate student, working for her master’s degree in social studies. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Sauer, are among the best known residents of Washoe Valley.

Mr. Ratay is district consultant for the Federal Social Security Board with headquarters in San Francisco. His territory covers the Hawaiian Islands and Alaska and the west coast. He is a native of France, and his parents reside there.

Mr. and Mrs. Ratay are spending their honeymoon motoring through the Pacific Northwest, after which they will reside in San Francisco.

Mr. and Mrs. William F. Sauer, who went to Seattle for the wedding, returned Tuesday night.
