Washoe Valley Native Succumbs
Mrs. Louis Zurfluh, native of Washoe valley and long time resident of Reno, died here Nov. 11. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Ross-Burke company.
Born on the old Sauer ranch near Franktown, Mrs. Zurfluh had lived in this district all her life. Sh [sic] was a member of Nevada chapter, No. 13, Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Louie Zurfluh; a son, Forrest; and grandchildren, Lois and Joanne Zurfluh; all of Reno. Also three brothers, George, William and Louis Sauer, and a sister, Mrs. Ida Smith. Another brother, Frank Sauer, died in Reno recently.

A Wedding at Washoe; Two Estimable Young People Speak the Holy Vows
A pretty wedding took place Sunday at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Sauer at Washoe, when their daughter, Louise was united in marriage to Louis Zurfluh, Rev. Samuel Unsworth officiating.
The bride looked charming in white organdie, carrying a boquet[sic] of bride’s roses and maiden fern, and was attended by her sister, Miss Ida Sauer, who wore white organdie with pink timmings, and carried a boquet[sic] of La France roses. The groom was supported by Preston Smith, the best man.
After congratulations were received by the bride and groom, the guests repaired to the prettily decorated dining-room where a sumptuous wedding supper was spread.
The bride is very popular throughout the valley, where she has always resided and is a young lady of sterling worth and many rare traits of character.
The groom is an esteemed young man, well and favorably known.
The young couple were the recipients of many beautiful and useful presents.
Their host of friends wish them happiness and success on their journey through life.
Amidst a shower of rice and old shoes Mr. and Mrs. Zurfluh departed on the morning train for San Francisco, where they will spend their honeymoon, and upon their return will reside in Washoe Valley.
