Oldtime Resident Of Reno Stricken
Louie Zurfluh, a resident of Reno and the Truckee Meadows for more than 60 years, died yesterday at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Zurfluh.
He was 83 years old and a native of Switzerland.
Mr. Zurfluh, who was engaged in ranching in this vicinity most of his life, came to the United States when he was 18 years old and on his arrival in Washoe couney [sic] five years after coming to America, made his home in Franktown. His wife died last fall.
Besides his son he leaves two grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Ross-Burke Company.

Zurfluh Funeral this Afternoon
Funeral services took place this afternoon at the Ross-Burke chapel for Louis Zurfluh, who died Wednesday at his home here. The Rev. Arthur Rice of the Federated church officiated, and music included solos by Mrs. Marguerite West and organ numbers by Mrs. Lula Grimmer. Pallbearers were Vern Whitty, Bert Wise, J. S. Henricks, Jack Starr, George Wade and Charles Higley. Burial was in the Odd Fellows cemetery.

A Wedding at Washoe; Two Estimable Young People Speak the Holy Vows
A pretty wedding took place Sunday at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Sauer at Washoe, when their daughter, Louise was united in marriage to Louis Zurfluh, Rev. Samuel Unsworth officiating.
The bride looked charming in white organdie, carrying a boquet[sic] of bride’s roses and maiden fern, and was attended by her sister, Miss Ida Sauer, who wore white organdie with pink timmings, and carried a boquet[sic] of La France roses. The groom was supported by Preston Smith, the best man.
After congratulations were received by the bride and groom, the guests repaired to the prettily decorated dining-room where a sumptuous wedding supper was spread.
The bride is very popular throughout the valley, where she has always resided and is a young lady of sterling worth and many rare traits of character.
The groom is an esteemed young man, well and favorably known.
The young couple were the recipients of many beautiful and useful presents.
Their host of friends wish them happiness and success on their journey through life.
Amidst a shower of rice and old shoes Mr. and Mrs. Zurfluh departed on the morning train for San Francisco, where they will spend their honeymoon, and upon their return will reside in Washoe Valley.
