Kathryn Kornmayer, age 78, passed away peacefully in Chico, CA on December 29th, 2007. She was born August 29, 1929 in Kansas City, Kansas to Estelle and Ona Cox. Kathryn is survived by her daughter Karen Kornmayer Wies of Tyler, Texas and her grandson Brian Kishpaugh of Salt Lake City, Utah. She has four beautiful grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Kathryn is also survived by her loyal companion, Homer, a Glen Imal Terrier.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill Kornmayer; mother Ona Landrum, and daughter Karla Kornmayer.
Kathryn was raised in Uniontown, Kansas where she graduated from high school. She spent many years in Reno where Bill’s family originated.
Kathryn will be remembered for her grace, kindness and fun spirit.
Her family will have a private memorial service and asks that donations be given to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation or the charity of choice in care of Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home 680 Camellia Way, Chico, CA 95926
