John F. Kleppe Dies in S.F.
John F. Kleppe, prominent Glendale rancher for many years and a member of an early day Truckee Meadows family, died this morning at a San Francisco hospital. He had been in the hospital at the Coast for the past four months.
Born at the ranch in the Glendale district which was settled in the early days by his parents, Mr. Kleppe attended the Glendale and Reno schools and engaged in ranching all of his life. He was well known in this vicinity and took an active part in the affairs of agricultural groups.
Surviving are six sons and daughters, Fred M. and Arthur Kleppe of Alameda, Mrs. Elsie [sic] Clifford of Sparks, Nev., and Ernest J. Kleppe and Mrs. Eula Sanford of Reno; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Ross-Burke Company.
