Notes for Ernest John & Nell (Family)
Reno Evening Gazette 10 March 1927 p.4
Miss Nell Baker, daughter of H. H. Baker, Truckee Meadows rancher, became the bride of Ernest J. Kleppe, a young rancher of the Sparks district, at a ceremony performed last night at the home of Rev. Brewster Adams. The wedding came as a complete surprise to their many friends as well as to the member of their immediate families, the only witnesses being Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Brooks, who accompanied the young people to the parsonage and stood up with them. Immediately after the service Mr. and Mrs. Kleppe left for the Coast to spend a short honeymoon and upon their return will make their home on the bridegroom’s ranch near Sparks. The bride is a graduate of the Sparks high school and for some time has been employed in the sales department of a Reno store. Mr. Kleppe is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Kleppe, prominent ranchers of Washoe county. He attended the Reno schools and has been active in farm bureau work for some time.
