The South Bend Tribune (Indiana), Wednesday, 15 August 2001, p. 31 (Newspapers.com)Henrietta R. “Nanny” Weidner 90, formerly of Fairway and St. Paul’s Retirement Community, died at 6:22 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, in the Hamilton Grove Retirement Community.
She was born June 8, 1911, in South Bend, Ind. and was the daughter of Wladyslaw and Rose (Izdepski) Kolesiak. Mrs. Weidner retired in 1978 from Robertson’s Department Store where the worked as a beautician. She would also help clean St. Hedwig Catholic Church. As Henrietta Kolesiak the married Arthur Weidner, who preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1960. She was also priced in death by two brothers, Raymond and Ernie Kolesiak; and by two sister, Clara Szarwark and Gertrude Muszynski.
She is survived by two daughters, Kay (Jerry) Schultz and Barbara (Terry) Wolownik; a son, Richard Weidner of Elkhart, Ind.; six grandchildren, Karen Doescher of Schererwille, Ind., Judy Pinsel of Barttlet, Ill., Sherri Kerrigan of Mission Viejo, Calif., Terry Bargielski of Torrence, Calif., and Justin and Jessica Weidner, both of Osceola, In.,; and by five great-grandchildren.
Family and friends called from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME,824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary was said at 7 p.m.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. today, Aug. 15, in St. Hedwig Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mrs. Weidner was a member of St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Golden Cluster, Hoosier Grandmothers, and he Rosary Society, all of St. Hedwig Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. Adalbert Harvest House, Holy Cross Brothers Society, the civic Club, Daughter of Isabella and the Padre Pio Group.
