MRS. C.A. NIEMEIER DIES LAST NIGHT
Mrs. Christena Niemeier, 58, wife of Charles A. Niemeier, former mayor of Princeton, died at 10 o’clock last night at her home, 522 east Broadway.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o’clock Monday morning at the First Methodist church, in charge of Dr. L. C. Jeffrey, pastor. Burial will be in Locust Hill cemetery, Evansville.
Mrs. Niemeier was born November 24, 1875, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sloan, in Gibson county and had lived in the county practically all her life.
On September 22, 1896, she was united in marriage to Charles A. Niemeier. To this union, two children were born. The son, Harold Eugene, died in infancy. Mrs. Helen K. Howell, the daughter, survives, along with the husband; a grandson, Donnie Eugene Howell; four brothers, Richard and Dan Sloan, of Princeton, Newton Sloan, of St. Louis, andJohn Sloan, of Patoka; a foster son, Charles Pritchett; an aunt, Mrs. Calena Boswell, of Madison, Ill.; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Mrs. Niemeier was a member of the First Methodist church and was also affiliated with the Tribe of Ben Our lodge and the Royal Neighbors.
Mrs. Niemeier possessed a kind and loving disposition and was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed by her relatives and many friends.
