Emma L. Beumer Of Holland Is Taken By Death
Mrs. Emma L. Beumer, 87, died at her home in the Holland community at 12:10 Thursday afternoon.
She was the widow of E. Fred Beumer, who died on April 21, 1938.
Surviving are two sons, Harry and Frank, and two daughters, Miss Lillie Beumer and Mrs. Gilbert Schroeder, all of Holland; a brother, Henry Weitkamp of Stendal; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Langebrake of Holland and Mrs. Nora Beumer of Evansville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Beumer was born in Pike county on January 31, 1871, the daughter of Herman Weitkamp and Fredericka Schoppenhorst Weitkamp.
She was married to the late E. Fred Beumer on July 30, 1930.
The body will be taken from the Nass and Son Mortuary in Huntingburg to the residence at 1 P.M. Saturday. A brief service will be held at the residence at 1:30 Sunday afternoon, followed by continued services at 2 o’clock in St. Paul’s church near Holland. Rev. L. B. Schnuck will conduct the services. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
