Belmont, Arlington Heights, loving husband of Pauline, dear father of Herman, Mrs. Florence Middleborn, Mrs. Virginia Herzog, brother of Charles, Edward, Laura McElhose, and James, 10 grandchildren. Resting at chapel, 207 N. Vail avenue, Arlington Heights. Service 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at Faith Evangelical Lutheran church. Interment Memory Gardens

Arthur L. McElhose, 67, 816 N. Belmont ave., Arlington Heights, died at his home March 4.
Mr. McElhose was born November 9, 1886, in Arlington Heights. He married Pauline Gohr Reimer June 17, 1912, in Truckertown, Wis. Following their marriage the couple made their home in Arlington Heights.
Mr. McElhose, who owned and operated Arlington Baths and Massage Health Studio for 17 years, was active in church and civic affairs in Arlington Heights. He was assistant postmaster from 1913 to 1918, scoutmaster of troop 7 from 1930 to 1932, village clerk from 1918 to 1928 and from 1934 to 1941, an employee of the Peoples State Bank from 1918 to 1932, treasurer of St. Peter Lutheran church from 1941 to 1943, treasurer of the library board from 1915 to 1928, an employee of the accounting department of the Chicago and North Western Railroad from 1918 to 1920, treasurer of Arlington Heights Health committee from 1931 to 1934, secretary of the Chicago Entomological Society from 1940 to 1943, a member of the Lutheran Laymen’s League and also secretary of the league at one time.
He leaves his wife, Pauline; two daughter, Mrs. Florence Middleborn and Mrs. Virginia Herzog; a son, Herman; a sister, Miss Laura McElhose; three brothers, Charles, Edward and James and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 7 at 2:30 p.m. at Faith Evangelical Lutheran church. Rev. Edgar Behrens officiated. Interment, Memory Gardens.
