Pauline McElhose, late of Hays, Kansas, formerly of Arlington Heights, Illinois, beloved wife of the late Arthur; fond mother of Herman, Virginia Herzog and the late Florence Middleborn; grandmother of 12; great-grandmother of two; sister of Emanuel, Ariel, Herman, Ervin and Leonard Reimer, Frieda and Gunde Schulte, Dorothy Schnurstein and Gertrude Nordseik. Resting at chapel, Northwest highway and Vail avenue, Arlington Heights. Services, 2 p.m., Friday, Faith Ev. Lutheran church. Will lie in state at church from 12 noon until time of service. Interment Memory Gardens cemetery.

Pauline McElhose
A former resident of 816 N. Belmont, Arlington Heights for many years, Mrs. Pauline McElhose, wife of the late Arthur McElhose, late resident of Hayes, Kansas, died there Monday, July 11. Services will be held Friday, July 15 at 2 p.m. in Faith Lutheran church, Arlington Heights. Pastor Behrens will officiate and interment will be in Memory Gardens cemetery. She will be in state at Blacks Memorial home until the services.
Mrs. McElhose helped found the Sunday school and Dorcas Aid society of St. Peter Lutheran church; was superintendent of beginners department and taught Sunday school for about 35 years later becoming active in the Ladies Society of Faith Lutheran church. She was also a member of the American Legion auxiliary, and the “Old Time Mothers Club.”
She was an active member of all, until she moved to Kansas two years ago, where she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Virginia Herzog.
Besides her daughter, Virginia, she leaves a son, Herman of Waterloo, Iowa, and a daughter, Florence Middleborn of Chesterton, Ind.
