Services Saturday, July 2, at 2:30 p.m., at chapel, 124-126 Madison street, Oak Park, at Lombard avenue. Interment Mount Emblem. Masonic service by Fair Oaks lodge, No. 1006, A. F. & A. M. Member of Oak Park chapter, No. 244, R. A. M. Siloam Commandery No. 54 K. T. Oak Park White Shrine, No. 28 and Victory chapter No. 810 O. E. S.

Augustus T. Sears, Noted Advertising Man, Passes Away

Masonic services for Augustus T. Sears, 75 of 542 South Elmwood, were conducted Saturday afternoon by the Fair Oaks lodge, No. 1006, A.F. and A.M. at the Haggard chapel, and burial followed at Forest Home. Mr. Sears, a resident of Oak Park for 40 years, died Wednesday, June 29, at home.

Mr. Sears, who started his advertising career in 1901 was a member of the firm of Sears and Ayer, Inc., at the time of his death. He was formerly western manager of the Scientific American, Philadelphia Public Ledger, and the Saturday Evening Post.

He was a member of Fair Oaks lodge, No. 1006, A.F. and A.M., Oak Park chapter, No. 244, R.A.M., Siloam commandery, No. 54, K.T., Oak Park White Shrine, No. 28, Victory chapter, No. 810, O.E. S., the Illinois Athletic club and the Advertising club.

Mr. Sears was active in civic affairs and in Republican party circles. He had a wide circle of friends in the community who mourn with his family at his passing.

Husband of the late Ida A., he is survived by a son, Burton H., and a granddaughter, Barbara Ann, both of the home address.
