In Reno September 16, 1943, Mrs. Rosa Becker, widow of the late John Jacob Becker, mother of Charles F. Becker of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Rose E. Heidtman of Reno, Mrs. Lou M. Erbst of San Francisco, Calif., J.C. Becker of Reno and Mrs. Elizabeth A. Davey of San Francisco, Calif., grandmother of Mrs. Donna Newman of Greensboro, N.C., Lieut. (jg) John C. Becker of the USNR, Donald G. Heidtman of Sacramento, William E. Becker of Reno and Florence R. Becker of Reno, a charter member of Nevada Rebekah lodge No. 7 of Reno, a native of Columbus, Ohio.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the home chapel of the Ross-Burke company the Rev. Brewster Adams clergyman. Interment Mountain View cemetery.
Mrs. Rosa Becker Taken by Death
Mrs. Rosa Becker, widow of the late John Jacob Becker, founder of the Becker cafe, a Reno landmark, died at a local hospital this morning at the age of eighty-six years. She had been a resident of Reno for seventy-nine years and was a charter member of Nevada Rebekah lodge No. 7 of Reno. She was a native of Columbus, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at the Ross-Burke chapel, Rev. Brewster Adams officiating as clergyman. Burial will be in the family plot at Mountain View cemetery.
Mrs. Becker was the mother of Charles F. Becker of San Francisco, Mrs. Rose F. Heidtman of Reno, Mrs. Lou M. Erbst of San Francisco, J.C. Becker of Reno and Mrs. Elizabeth A. Davey of Greensboro, N.C. Surviving grandchildren are Mrs. Donna Newman of Greensboro, N.C., Lieut. (jg) John C. Becker of the United States navy, Donald G. Heidtman of Sacramento, William E. Becker of Reno, and Florence R. Becker of Reno.
