Rose E. Heidtman
Rose Emelia Heidtman, 90, widow of the former state senator and assemblyman Harry C. Heidtman, died Saturday in her residence at 237 W. Third St.
A native and lifetime resident of Reno, she was a member of the pioneer Jacob Becker family in Reno. She was a life member of the 20th Century Club, and was also a member of the Emblem Club.
Her husband, who died in 1944, served in both houses of the legislature and was employed in real estate and automotive agenicies in Reno.
The Becker Building in Reno was named for Mrs. Heidtman’s father, Jacob Becker.
Surviving are a son, Donald of Reno; a sister, Mrs. Twed Davey of San Francisco; grandchildren, Harry C. and Sherrie Lynn Heidtman, both of Reno; nieces Donna Newman of Florida, and Mrs. Jack Gilbert of Reno; and a sister-in-law, Frances Becker of Reno.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Ross, Burke and Knobel Mortuary. The Rev. Donald D. Cole will officiate.
Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.
